Early Childhood Screening

The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an important time of rapid learning and growth. Early Childhood Screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and developing. Between the ages of 3 and 4, screening can detect possible health or learning concerns, so that children can get help before they start school.

Early Childhood Family Education

Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is a program of Glencoe-Silver Lake Public Schools for parents and their children from birth to kindergarten entry. ECFE offers parent-child classes, special events, and other programs designed to give parents information, resources, and skills that support their children’s growth and development from birth to kindergarten and beyond. 

School Readiness Preschool

GSL School Readiness Preschool offers two or three half-day preschool programs for students who are 3 years old by September 1. It has a Four-Star Parent Aware rating (highest possible) and works together with ECSE staff to provide services in an inclusion setting.

The goal of Glencoe-Silver Lake Public Schools Community Education is to create opportunities for lifelong learning and meet the needs of the community.

Glencoe Public Library is part of the Pioneerland Library System. Pioneerland Library System makes the world of knowledge and ideas accessible to the communities it serves by providing resources for their educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs in a safe and respectful environment.

Help Me Grow

Help Me Grow has many resources about the development of young children for parents and professionals. 

PACER

PACER Center is a parent training and information center for families of children and youth with all disabilities from birth to young adults. Parents can find publications, workshops, and other resources to help make decisions about education, vocational training, employment, and other services for their children with disabilities.
